The Original Uprated Vanos Solenoid Seal Kit & High-Tensile Bolt Pack

 

Vanos solenoid seal degradation is common on the BMW E36 M3. Many owners are unaware of the poor condition of these seals which can affect both the performance & running characteristics of this superb engine. Fit one of our upgraded kits to ensure a reliable & long service life for your vanos solenoid system.


The Problem


Many vanos problems can be caused by the solenoid seals failing or the solenoid cover bolt-heads failing. The seal problem is is largely due to the standard Buna-N (nitrile/NBR) O-ring material having limited thermal & chemical resistance properties which are not ideally suited to the vanos operating environment.

 

The Solution - Our Upgraded Kit


The advanced fluoroelastomer, Viton® has establish new standards for high performance seals. With its exceptional resistance to fuels, oils and fluids, combined with its excellent heat resistance (nearly twice that of NBR), Viton® continues to be the material of choice for demanding & critical environments such as automotive, aviation, aerospace, military & marine applications.

 

Our seals are specifically manufactured for us by our manufacturer with whom we developed this kit - they do not supply to anyone else! We have sold hundreds of kits trouble-free worldwide & supplied owners as well as race teams.

 

Replace your standard O-rings & 8.8-grade bolts with our upgraded Viton® O-ring kit & upgraded 12.9-grade high-tensile bolt set. All seals & bolts supplied are an exact size-equivalent to the OEM parts, not just a 'near-enough-is-good-enough' size!

 

  • Viton® retains sealing force to prevent leaks even after compression for long periods in severe environments. After 100 hours in air at 150°C, Viton® retains more than 90% of its original sealing force, while O-rings and seals of nitrile retain only 40% !!*

    Supplied in each kit are all the parts you need to change the seals & bolts in the vanos solenoids, exhaust & inlet solenoid end covers(s) & the pressure limiting valve. Includes genuine BMW solenoid cover gasket(s).
